Isabel Mae "Sue" (Rose) Reid

Isabel Mae “Sue” Reid nee Rose, 83 formerly of Dayton, OH and recently of New Palestine, IN passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2018.  Sue was born in Berkley, MI on May 20,1935. She was the youngest of six children to Charles and Helen Rose.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald Eugene Reid.

Sue worked for Dayton Public Schools and was former owner of the Northtown Bar.  She was in the US Navy during the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post #613.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Doug Reid, Denny and Kim Reid, D. Patrick Reid, Dale and Tonya Reid; grandchildren: Jessica Reid Waldman, Tyler, Brock, Dane, and Jordan Reid; great grandchildren: Jada and Nyla Reid, Chase and Calli Waldman; brother, Laverne “Tuffy” Rose; numerous other family members and friends.

Sue loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports.  She crocheted blankets for everyone and her chocolate zucchini bread was a fan favorite.  Sue was a humble and loving soul and her smile would light up the room.  She was known to many as “Grandma Sue”.

A small service for the family and friends will be at the Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, OH on August 13, 2018 at 11:00 am.
