Irene worked as a seamstress her entire life, known for her master work in quilting. Granny was known for her work ethic, extreme generosity, and Southern hospitality of never meeting a stranger and never letting anyone leave the house hungry. Irene was born in Monticello, KY on August 10, 1915. She is survived by her son, RonnieNancySidwell; and daughters, Marie Bates and BonnieLarry Compliment; seven grandchildren and their spouses, ten great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
