Helen M. Jewell, 79, New Palestine, IN passed away on January 5, 2026 in New Palestine, IN. She was born on November 20, 1946 in Louisville, KY.

Survivors include, husband, Robert D. Jewell; son, Stephen (Amy) Jewell; daughter, Melinda (Scott) Ashley; sister, Diane Hunter; sister in laws, Joann (Jerry) Nelson, Sarah (Steve) Franke, Cathy (Corky) Dunham, Linda Jewell; cousin, Anita Wiles; 3 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Carl & Geneva Appling.

Helen was a devote member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield. She was a kind and helpful steward of the Lord. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and reading, along with taking trips with her husband Bob of 60 years and her senior group. From Helen's childhood, she has always had her "partner in crime" Diane by her side.

Service will be Tuesday January 13, 2026 at 1:00PM at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W US HWY 52, Fountaintown, IN 46130 with visitation starting at 11:00AM until the time of service at the mortuary. Officiating will be Dave Mora. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, IN. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Bethal Baptist Church in Greenfield, IN.
