Gerald Richard "Dickie" Caughey

Gerald Richard "Dickie" Caughey, 84, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 in Indianapolis.  He was born on August 30, 1935 in Beech Grove, IN.

Survivors include wife; Carolyn (Ostermyer) Caughey, daughters; Wanda (Larry) Hotseller and Brenda Caughey, grandchildren; Elizabeth (Trevor) Johnson, Amanda (Max) Neyron, David (Stacy) Galyean, Dale (Stephanie) Galyean, great grandchildren; Katie and Kara Monko, Katya and Wylliam Neyron, Elizabeth Ava Johnson, Alyeea Backus, Delilah, Mya and Lynna Galyean, Natalie Tien, great great grandchildren; Xander and Mila Oiler. He was preceded in death by parents; Arlie & Mary Helen "Molly" (Wilcher) Caughey, siblings; Mabel D. Caughey, Iva Mae Carter, Marion Cecil, James Earl, Thelma, and Delma Caughey, Arlie Jefferson Caughey, Jr., Margaret, Marvin Vincent, and Leroy Caughey and Virginia Trotter.

He graduated from Franklin Township High School and retired as a Machinist from Western Electric. His hobbies included Deer hunting, fishing, camping and all around outdoorsman.

Services will be on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, IN with Visitation from 11:00am until time of service at the mortuary.  Officiating the service will be Chaplain Kathy Blanchard.  Burial will follow in the New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, IN.
