Frederick J. Hasting, Sr.
August 22, 1951 — April 2, 2012
Fred J. Hasting Sr., 60, Van Bibber Lake Estates, ended his four-year battle with cancer at home on Monday, April 2, 2012.
Fred was born on Aug. 22, 1951 in Hamlet, Ind., to Donald and Betty (Starkey) Hasting.
He graduated from Oregon-Davis High School in 1969. He was a machinist for 32 years.
Fred married Judy (Crosby) Hasting on April 28, 2001 and she survives.
Other survivors include sons Fred Jr. and Todd; stepdaughter Kristy Allen; stepson Kevin Duvall and wife Kim; mother Betty Sinn; brothers Kenny, Ray and Sam; along with several grandchildren, aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by a son Rodney, his father, two brothers and a step-grandson.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and he loved to hunt mushrooms.
At Fred's request, there will be no funeral services.
