Elmer "Dick" R. Wilkins

Elmer R (Dick) Wilkins 84 of Foutaintown passed away on August 4 ^th , 2013.

Survivors include Phyllis C Wilkins, his wife of 64 years. A son Gary Wilkins, a daughter Beth Wilkins, two grandsons Blake Wilkins and Chad Wilkins along with 3 great grandsons Brayden, Ben, and Matthew. Dick was preceded in death by his parents Elmer L and Dorothy E Wilkins, his two sisters Maxine Fox and Margaret Hobbs along with his son, Brent L Wilkins.

Dick was a part-time farmer and had retired from Indianapolis Power & Light Company after 43 years of service. Over the years Dick had also been active in his community including membership at New Life United Methodist Church, The Murat Shrine, Masonic Lodge, and Scottish Rite. Dick was also a veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of Moral Township High School.

A memorial service conducted by Pastor Ben Biggs will be held at New Life United Methodist Church located at 6145 N 400 W, Fairland, IN 46126 on Wednesday August 7 ^th at 10:00 AM. Calling stars at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers any donations should be directed to the New Life United Methodist Church Memorial Fund by contacting 317.835.2757 or the address above.
