Elizabeth (Betty) E. Wilson

On Wednesday morning, February 11, 2015, in Greenwood, Elizabeth E. Wilson (Betty), 83, quietly passed from this life to her eternal life.  Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Floyd E. Wilson, her brother Lawrence C. DeSutter (Pat DeSutter) her children, Larry Wilson (Madonna Wilson)and Patty Burke (Bill Burke,) and her grandchildren, Jenna, Eric and Ryan Burke.

Betty was born on January 9, 1932 in Attica, Indiana, to Lawrence R. DeSutter and Genevieve (Nelson) DeSutter.  Betty graduated from Attica High School and then Beauty College in Indianapolis where she began her long career of styling hair and making customers and co-workers into friends.

Betty and Floyd raised their children in Seymour before relocating to central Florida (Orlando, Zellwood and Tavares) where they lived for over 8 years before returning to Indianapolis in 2006, to be near family.

Betty enjoyed golf, bowling, ceramics, quilting/sewing, cooking (and cooking shows) listening to music and a good game of euchre.  Betty also had a deep love of animals.  Dogs were her favorite.  Usually there were two in the household and would often be found beside her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:30 am at St. Jude’s Catholic Church at 5353 McFarland Rd., Indianapolis with Father Stephen Banet Officiating.  A Calling/Visitation will precede the mass at 10:30 am.  Interment will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Attica.
