Edna Marie (Greer) Cassity

Edna Marie Cassity passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her home in Danville, Indiana. She was 90 years old. She was born on October 30, 1932 to John H. and Florence (Johnston) Greer in Fisk Missouri. She was married to her beloved husband, Irvin H. Cassity Jr., in Ketchikan, Alaska on June 12, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2007.

Mrs. Cassity was a retired dental assistant and enjoyed gardening, reading, bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ.

Her survivors include her five children; daughters, Debra (Marty) Fisher and Lori (Rick) MacPherson; and sons, Steven B. , Irvin H. III, and Douglas B. Cassity; her beloved 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear brother and sister in-law Junior lee Greer and his wife, Shirley Helen Greer: numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Preceded her in death were her beloved parents John and Florence Greer; 7 sisters, Virgie Coulter, Flora Mae Coleman, Pauline Coleman, Elsie Doherty, Ruby Goodrum, Ruth Greer and Marjorie Anderson, ; and 3 brothers, Joseph Henry, Curtis and James Dale Greer.
