Donald Ray Myers, Sr.

July 25, 1932 — January 7, 2007

Donald passed away at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Montezuma High School and from the Journeymen Barber's International Educational School. His is a member of the United Methodist Church in Montezuma, Indiana. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a barber on the westside of Indianapolis for 20 years. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Plainfield, Indiana for 18 years prior to retiring in 1994. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Culp, and a special nephew, Clifford Warren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosie; a sister, Rose Marie Rennick of Montezuma, Indiana; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; his daughter, Tina Sorrels and her husband, Scott, of Atlanta, GA; his son, Don Myers, Jr., and his wife, Susie of Greeneville, TN; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at his home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
