Don was born to the late Horace Chalmer and Bertha Sophia Harting Whiteside. he retired after 30 years as a School Bus Driver for the Warren Twp. School Corporation. He was a lifetime farmer, landscaper, carpenter and woodworker. Those were also his hobbies as well. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Cumberland, IN. Survivors: Companion; Marilyn Lynch, New Palestine, Daughters; Marcella Champion, Cumberland, IN, Marcia Eldridge, Somerset, KY, Stepson; PatrickSusan Keenan, Battle Creek, MI, Brother; Ivan Whiteside, Greenfield, IN, Grandchildren; JakeMelissa Aton, Laura Lee Tucker, Kendra Lynn Eldridge, JustusTracy and Alexis Champion, Great-Grandchildren; 6, preceeded in death by a Sister Arnella Bragdon and one Great-Grandchild.
