Debra J. (Allen) Armstrong

January 31, 1952 — November 18, 2014

Debra "Debbie" J. (Allen) Armstrong , 62 years of New Palestine, passed away on November 18, 2014 in Indianapolis. She was born on January 31, 1952 in Big Stone Gap, VA, daughter of Marvin Glenn and Joan Wilkinson Allen. She was a 1970 graduate of Triton Central High School and Marian College with a Paralegal Degree and then later became a Realtor. She was employed with the US Federal Government; Beattey Company (1994). Debbie was an avid reader and supporter of the library. She was also an avid James Taylor fan. She enjoyed traveling, and her favorite destination was Maine in the fall. She also enjoyed hiking, boating, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Survivors: Son; Aaron Armstrong (Nichole (Szmutko), Mother; Joan Allen, Sister, Linda Spencer-Beattey, Brother; Michael Allen, Granddaughter; Paige Armstrong, Nieces; Shelley Spencer-Hellmich (Ron), Angela Allen, Nephew; Eric Allen (Jennifer). Preceded in death by: Her loving husband, Ronald J. Armstrong; her father, Marvin Glenn Allen. Services will be on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 1:00pm at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel with Pastor Carl Coffey Officiating. The visitation will be on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, IN. Arrangements handled by Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel.
