David Gene Espich

David Gene Espich , 73, of New Palestine, passed away on August 24, 2018 in Indianapolis.  He was born on November 29, 1944 in Indianapolis. He is survived by his sons; David (Andrea), Joseph (Megan) and Matthew (Tracy) Espich; brothers; Frank and Bill Espich, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife; Emily Kaye (Patton) Espich, parents; Billy Gene and Betty Lou (Wills) Espich.

David was a steamfitter and retired from the Indianapolis Star Newspaper.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.  He received the 2011 Citizen of the Year Award.   He was a member of the UA Local 440 Plumbers and Pipefitters, New Palestine American Legion Post 182 and the New Palestine Masonic Lodge 404.

Visitation will be at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, IN on August 28, 2018 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. A Masonic Service will be at 1:00pm followed by the American Legion then the Funeral Service at the Mortuary.

Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery, New Palestine, IN.
