Cleston "Calhoun" F. Howard 79, of Greenfield, IN, passed away at home following an extended illness on February 16, 2013. He was born June 21, 1933, to Alvy and Delphe (Rich) Howard in Tompkinsville, KY. He was a US Army Veteran serving 1951 to 1953. He worked as a ladle repairman at International Harvester for 31 years, retiring in 1990. He is survived by his longtime companion, Dorothy Moneymaker, sons, Gregory Howard and Geoffrey Howard, daughter, Donna (Jay) Wilson; sisters, Dorothy Keys, Talega Doolin, Nina Downing, Juanita (Amos) Scott; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Bell Mortuary & Crematory Shangrila Chapel, Carrollton, IN from 4:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2013; Funeral services will be at Strodes Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, KY, Thursday, February 21, 2013 beginning with visitation at 10:30 am and services immediately following at 1:30 pm. Burial in Gamaliel, KY. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Hancock County Regional Hospice or American Heart Association.
