Cathryne (Kay) Louise Troyer, 90, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, May 5th 2026 in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born on October, 17, 1935 to James and Charlotte White. Kay graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1953 and later married her adoring husband of 65 years, Jim Troyer. She was a stay at home mother to her three children Mark, Cathy and Mary loving them dearly with all of her heart. She loved Jesus and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Christian Church where she faithfully attended services. Her family was her pride and joy, and her grandchildren brought her endless happiness. Kay enjoyed Daily Bible Study every morning with her husband as well as meeting with her Bridge Club. In her younger years, Kay was a professional singer at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis, Indiana. She started singing at young age of just four years old in church choirs. She also sang solo and in trios. Kay had a contagious laugh and loved to tell jokes. Her children remember the verse Proverbs 31:28: "Her children arise and call her blessed". While she will be missed by her family, they are comforted knowing that she is heaven in the arms of the Lord.
She is survived by her husband Jim Troyer; her son Mark Troyer; her daughters Cathy (Ralph) Shiley and Mary Graham. Also, she leaves behind four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents James Winton White and Charlotte Roberts White as well as her sister Charlotte Ann (Don) Penington.
