David F. Stewart , 81, of Summerfield, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. He was born in Indianapolis on September 10, 1934, where he resided until 2003 . He and his bride enjoyed their retirement years in Florida.
David grew up on the east side of Indianapolis and attended Arsenal Technical High School. He served in the U.S. Army and in 1961 launched a successful automotive accessory company,
Dave enjoyed playing softball and was an avid sports fan. He impacted many young athletes lives coaching Little League baseball, CYO Sports and Scecina Memorial High School Girls Basketball.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor, his children, Mary Kay Curran, Joannie (Scott) Newby, Michael (Jan) Stewart and Nancy Henn, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, October 2nd from 9:30am -12pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on 7243 E. 10th St. in Indianapolis with funeral service to follow
