Mark Cosby Obituary

Mark Amos Cosby, 57, of Indianapolis, IN passed away May 3, 2019. He was born in Madison, Indiana to the late Patricia (Lane) and Robert Cosby.

Mark graduated from John Roberts Special Education School.

Mark accepted Christ at an early age at Zion Hope Baptist Church.

Mark’s achievements were having pictures taken while holding nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a great-great-nephew when they were babies; attending an NFL Chicago Bears game; he wrote a book “The Victorious Life of Mark A. Cosby”; he traveled to Atlanta, GA. To cheer his family on at “The Family Feud.” Mark had opportunities to fly on airplanes , including one trip to the national TV game show “Hollywood Squares.” Mark sponsored a child from Compassion International, Thailand that he called his adopted son named Kamsemak for four years.

God blessed Mark with a family that loved him to life.

On Friday, May 3, 2019 at 6:38 a.m. God called his child, Mark, home to eternal life at the age of 57 years. He lived 53 years beyond what the doctors believed at birth.

Mark leaves with his infectious smile, dancing eyes (which have been donated to two recipients), a loving heart and a joyous spirit for every life he touched.

Mark leaves his example of a humble life to Patricia Condon (Steve), Robert Cosby, Joan Belle (Elvin), Eloy Cosby (Mickey), Rick Cosby (Charlotte), Norman Cosby, Susie Jones (Major/deceased), Jessica Paddack (Michael), Ruth Cosby Taylor (Sidney), Isadore Cosby (Vanessa) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and two aunts.

A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 3101 E. 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
