Marion "David" Thomas

Marion “David” Thomas, age 60, of New Palestine, Indiana passed away on Monday February 12, 2018 after a long courageous battle with Cancer.  He was born on April 3,1957 in Danville, Illinois to the late Larry and Dora Thomas.  He is survived by his loving wife La Donna of 27 years, One son, Scott (Ashley) and one daughter, Andrea, three grandchildren, Evalynn, Delaney and Owen (who knew him as ‘Poppie”), four brothers,  Jim, Jeff, Larry and Daryl and 14 Nieces and Nephews.

David was a devoted husband, father and “Poppie” with an amazing kindness and sense of humor that will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He enjoyed working on old cars, going to car shows and spending time with family and friends. 

David retired from Allison Transmission as a Supervisor for the Tool and Cutter Grind Department.  He also worked for International Truck and Engine, Raytheon/Naval Avionics Center and Dodd Electric.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 16, 2018 at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 W.  US Highway 52, Fountaintown, IN with calling from 4:00pm to 6:30pm with funeral immediately following.
