Lula (Lu) M. (Massingale) Wood  

September 15, 1932 – December 9, 2017

Lula went to be with our Lord on December 9, 2017 in Indianapolis, IN at the age of 85.  She was born in Indianapolis, IN to Andrew A. Massingale and Grace C. (Parker) Massingale.  She worked at Western Electric and J.C. Penney where she retired in 1997. She loved to garden, travel, bowling, cooking, and spend time with her family.  Lula was proceeded in death by her mother, father, sister Lois Cyphers, sister Lana Dolzall.  She is survived by her 3 children Brian S. Wood (Pam) of Jamestown, IN, Barry A . Wood (Debbie) of McCordsville, IN, and Christina (Tina) Wood of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren Brisco, Angela, Jennifer, Anthony; 4 great grandchildren Cameron, Christian, Brena, Luna; sister Linda Lazaropolis, brother Thomas Massingale; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  There will be a celebration of her life after the holidays.   The family request donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association in Lula’s name.
