Thelma Evelyn (Haynes) Sword (Toots)

Thelma (Toots) [Haynes] Sword, 86, of Greenfield, IN, passed away on Friday July 15, 2016 in Indianapolis, IN. Thelma was born on April 22, 1930 in Jonesville, VA to James Arthur and Sally Elizabeth (Pendergraph) Haynes.

Survivors include her sons; Gary Sword (Cindy Baker Sword) and Wayne Sword (Judith Sillery Sword), her daughters; Susan Herd (Thomas Herd) of Greenfield and Terri Marcum of Indianapolis, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, sisters; Louise Rutherford (Bill Rutherford) and Judy Hines.

Preceded in the death by her parents; James and Sally Haynes, husband; Vincent Sword, daughter; Wilma Chapman, sisters; Ruth, Hattie, Barbara, brothers; Tom, Bob and Peewee.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, at Bell Mortuary and Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, 1444 West US Hwy 52, Fountaintown, IN on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. 

Graveside Service Entombment will be on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10:00am at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN with the Rev. Gary Pitcock Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church, 3851 East New York Street, Indianapolis, IN.
