Ronald Edward Mann, 76, died December 1, 2017. Ron was born November 13, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to Bernard and Rachel Mann.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Carolyn.
He is survived in death by his children Kimberly Weunch and James Mann. His wife of 34 years, is Gwen Presdee Mann, stepchildren; Steve Whalen (Jeanette). David Whalen, Karen Blackwell (Michael), 8 grandchildren; Lynette Whalen, Grant Blackwell, Bernadette Whalen, Corinne Blackwell Barnette (Nathan), Elaine Whalen, Gordon Blackwell, Evan Whalen, and Erica Whalen Hiquet (Joshua), 3 great grandchildren, sister Janice Mann of Peoria, AZ special cousin Joyce Orek, as well as others.
He was a 1959 graduate of George Washington High School as well as a graduate of Purdue University class of 1964. He worked 38 years with Partsmaster, DIV NCH Corporation, out of Dallas, TX.
He was a member of the Irvington Presbyterian church where he served as a Deacon, Trustee, and an Elder. He was a 50 year member of Prospect Lodge no. 714, F & A.M., and the Scottish Rite.
His family would like to make sure all the wonderful doctors and nurses at St Vincent and Hancock Hospitals know how much of a difference they made and how much they were truly appreciated with his care.
He was a member of the Indianapolis Umpire Association (IUA) for more than 30 years and a member of the Fall Creek Officials Association.
Services will be held at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Ave, Indianapolis, IN, Friday December 8th, 4pm to 7pm, followed by a Memorial Service Saturday, December 9th, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Irvington Presbyterian Endowment Fund in his name.
