John Henry Ortel, 78, passed away December 23, 2016 in Greenfield, Indiana. He was born in New Palestine, Indiana on May 25, 1938 to George and Selma (Noelting) Ortel.
John was a farmer in the Hancock County Community for his lifetime occupation. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Ortel and sister Helen Roler.
Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2017, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, Indiana.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 11:00am with visitation from 10:00am until time of service at the Church, 6513 W 300 S, New Palestine, IN.
Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Palestine, Indiana.
